My name is Olanrewaju 'Emanuel' Farinloye.
For those who know the history of this great state, I am a son of the soil from the Farinloye family at Idifi Street, Iloro, Ilesa, Osun State. I stand before you as your son, your brother, and your friend.
It is with great delight and joy that I address you this afternoon as the Action Alliance (AA) Governorship Candidate. I am deeply honoured that you have chosen me as your Unopposed Candidate. This implies trust, and I promise you, I will not betray that trust.
I stand before you today asking for your support and collaboration so that we may emerge victorious in the coming election. This mandate is for the masses. Whether you are young or old, male or female, this movement is for you. I assure you, by the grace of God, we shall have no cause for regret, only success and victory.
Gratitude and Responsibility
First and foremost, I give all glory to Almighty God for guiding our party to this moment of unity and clarity of purpose.
I sincerely thank the leadership of the Action Alliance at the national, state, and grassroots levels for the confidence reposed in me. I thank our party elders, leaders, and faithful members across wards and local governments whose consensus, trust, and goodwill have made this unopposed emergence possible. I accept this mandate with humility.
The fact that this candidacy was unopposed is not a personal victory. It is a reflection of the unity, maturity, and shared conviction within our party that the time has come to offer our people a credible and principled alternative. It places on me an even greater responsibility and accountability to serve with integrity and openness.
This moment is not about ambition. It is about duty.
Our People's Needs
Our people are resilient and hardworking, yet many continue to struggle. Workers desire dignity; pensioners seek certainty; young adults seek opportunity; farmers seek support; and traders and small businesses seek an environment where effort is rewarded. These are legitimate expectations, and meeting them must be the primary task of leadership.
Our Commitment
Our commitment as a party is clear. We will build a government that works—one that plans carefully, spends prudently, and delivers results that people can see and feel.
Our priorities will include but are not limited to:
• Job creation through targeted public works and private-sector partnerships.
• Education and skills development that prepare our youths for a changing and evolving world.
• Accessible and effective healthcare, particularly at the community level.
• Strong support for agriculture and rural economic growth.
• Strategic infrastructure development anchored on transparency and value for money.
• Social protection policies that restore dignity to the vulnerable and elderly.
Our approach will be inclusive, practical, and people-centred. We will listen before we act. We will improve what works and reform what does not. Governance under the Action Alliance will be open, accountable, and close to the people.
Our Promise
I assure the good people of this state that leadership under my watch will be guided by fairness, humility, and service. We will not govern by division or rhetoric, but by performance.
From today, our campaign begins, not with insults, but with ideas; not with bitterness, but with hope; not with empty promises, but with a clear and achievable plan.
Call to Action
I call on all party members, youths, women, elders, professionals, artisans, traditional leaders, and all citizens who desire a better future to join us. Let us mobilise peacefully, speak with one voice, and earn the trust of the electorate.
I appreciate our party officials and security agencies who ensured a peaceful and credible process. Together, we will demonstrate that leadership can be principled, competent, and compassionate.
Closing
God bless the Action Alliance party.
God bless our beloved Osun State.
God bless the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
Thank you.
